Proxel BC Preservative is an anti-bacterial & Fungicide, 6% active content for tankside control of bacteria and fungi. Proxel® BC Preservative is registered with the Environmental Protection Agency and has been granted EPA registration No. 1258-1336.

Proxel® BC Preservative, an aqueous dispersion of 1,2-Benzisothiazolin3-one, 5-Chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CMIT), and 2-Methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT), is effective against both bacterial and fungal organisms, and it will prevent growth even at high concentrations of these organisms.  Proxel BC Preservative can be used in place of products based on CMIT/MIT alone.

Proxel® BC Preservative exhibits the following characteristics:

• Effective control of a wide range of bacterial and fungal organisms at economic concentrations.
• Rapid reduction of microbial populations
• Ease of use due to its liquid form and compatibility in most aqueous systems.
• Does not release formaldehyde

Proxel BC Preservative is approved for dilute aqueous metalworking fluids at 0.05-0.25% total weight by product. It is a biocide that protects vital operating systems from bio-fouling and microbiologically-induced corrosion to support production reliability and eliminate downtime, helping to maximize customer profitability.

Proxel^® is now listed on CleanGredients^®, an online database of cleaning product ingredient chemicals. Ingredients listed on the CleanGredients^® database have been pre-approved by the EPA for use in Safer Choice-labelled products and have been reviewed by NSF International’s Sustainability Program.
