Linear Alcohol Ethoxylates from Solvay

Linear alcohol ethoxylates are one of the fastest growing class of surfactants today, and are widely used in a variety of applications as emulsifiers and wetting agents.  It is important to choose a LAE that is both biodegradable and meets the EPA Safer Choice standard.

RHODASURF® 91-6 and RHODASURF®  91-8 from Solvay are linear alcohol ethoxylates that offer emulsification, detergency and dispersion for water based metalworking fluids and surface cleaners.

RHODASURF 91-6 can be used as a single surfactant in some formulations given its mid-range HLB.

RHODASURF 91-8 is well suited for oil-in-water emulsions due to its slightly higher HLB of 13.5.
