Watercarb-L, is a lignite-based Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC) ideally suited to removal of taste/odor, TOC, and other compounds from water supplies. Watercarb-L is manufactured from a dedicated domestic supply of lignite resources located in the southern United States. The manufacturing process has limited effects on the environment compared with traditional chemical activation of lignite and coal. Watercarb-L meets the AWWA B600 standard for Powdered Activated Carbon.
Watercarb 800 (WC800) is a virgin, high quality powdered activated carbon (PAC) produced from select coal by a high temperature steam activation process under stringent quality control. WC800 is extremely effective in removing TOC, Geosmin and Methylisoborneol (MIB), compounds responsible for causing taste and odor in raw water. WC800 meets or exceeds ANSI/AWWA B-600-05, is certified to ANSI/NSF 61 and meets the Food Chemicals Codex standards.
